Found primarily in the town of Shunga in Russia, Shungite is a rare stone composed of 99% carbon. Its modern uses date back to the early 20th century when it was attempted to replace coal during the fuel shortages of WWI. Whilst this attempt was fruitless, it was found that the mineral became stronger when heated, transforming itself into a excellent strengthener both physically and spiritually, with beliefs of it protecting one from illness and bad omens.
